HOW ASTRAGIN® WORKS

A healthy gut is key to a healthy body and mind. The gut is home to 70% of the body’s immune system, and has a large impact on much of the body’s essential functions. Before entering circulation to be utilized by the body, consumed nutrients must first be absorbed through the gut. Although, some nutrients and nutraceuticals are often poorly absorbed because of their poor water solubility, larger molecular size, structure instability, and other factors.

In the health and wellness industry companies have worked to overcome these barriers with a variety of approaches. Some absorption-enhancing nutraceuticals encapsulate nutrients that do not mix well with water into microscopic fat-soluble vesicles to solve the absorption problem which can be costly to implement.

Others achieve a higher concentration of nutrients in the body by suppressing specific metabolic enzyme complexes, delaying the transport time and metabolism of the nutrients. We believe specific botanicals in the optimal format, such as AstraGin®, can both address the challenge with cost-drivers and innovation in product formulas.

AstraGin® enhances absorption by supporting the nutrient transporters within the gut responsible for moving specific nutrients through the gut wall. Nutrients like amino acids, fatty acids, and certain vitamin and minerals need these transporters in order to be absorbed.

Unlike other absorption methods, AstraGin® works with the body’s normal functions to support the way amino acids, fatty acids, vitamins & minerals are naturally absorbed within the body.

NuLiv Science human clinical trials have also shown a positive microbiota environment when AstraGin® was administered as well as evidence of gut wall support where these good bacteria live. This suggests AstraGin® may support and promote a healthy gut wall and microbiota population.*

The mucosal lining of the gastrointestinal tract is central to nutrient uptake and acts as a barrier against bacteria and toxins. Taking AstraGin® on a regular basis supports the body’s natural ability to absorb more nutrients, limit toxins from entering the body, provide a favorable eco-environment for microbiota, and support the gut-based immune system by fostering a healthy gut environment. 1, 2, 3, 4
